After the cult success of Subtle Is As Subtle Does, Tea Time, Tigers! return with the first part of their lofi four track cassette recordings.
The Tigers have become more poppy with this latest release, but have conjoined it with the raw and rough edge of minimal recording techniques. The soul searching folk charm is still present, but the gritty and basic style of the recording has led Tea Time, Tigers! to explore simpler methods of song writing, but still continuing in their meaningful indie acoustic endeavours.
By using more minimal technology when recording, the band decided not to leave any song left out, and simply relying on multiple recording takes to capture the the essence of the song, even if it wasn't their first intention. When the session was finished, the songs could not be re-recorded, in order to keep the finished release as pure and as true as possible.
